Meeting Information

During the year, the monthly meetings are pretty low key with just our tribe and lasts about 1 hr+. About once a month, there is a larger group activity (see calendar).

6:30pm - Pizza Dinner - We have Pizza for dinner for the first half hour of the meeting, so we won't have to rush dinner at home and the girls have a chance to socialize before we get down to business.

7:00pm - Welcome/Introductions from the Chief

7:05pm - Review of Past Events and Upcoming Events from the Chief

7:10pm - Words of Wisdom from the Medicine Man

7:15pm - Talking Stick/Wampum collection - We arrange the chairs at one end of the room in a half circle with the daughters up front and the Dads behind them. We implement a Wampum collection ceremony (to pay for the Pizza, $5-10 per family) with the Talking Stick. The Wampum Pouch is passed with the talking stick. We start at one end and go around the half circle with each girl stepping into the center when it is their turn. As each Princess takes control of the Talking Stick, they offer their Wampum to the pouch and introduce themselves and their father. They speak to the tribe about their good deeds deserving of wampum, past events and other interesting happenings.

7:30pm - Craft Time - Assigned Warriors bring a simple craft that can be completed by the children in a matter of minutes.

7:45-Snack Time - Assigned Warriors bring cookies or other snacks.

7:50pm - Closing Words of Wisdom or closing game
